As your councilman, my aim is to improve the lives of South Salt Lake's people through practical laws, hands-on community involvement, and active engagement. Here are my key priorities to enhance our district:

Affordable Housing: We must tackle the housing crisis by making homes more accessible and affordable. This means encouraging developers to build affordable housing by offering incentives and reducing individual taxes through collaboration with state lawmakers.

Supporting Law Enforcement and Community Safety: Our local law enforcement deserves the right resources, training, and fair pay to effectively serve and protect our community. Additionally, incorporating social workers to handle mental health crises is vital for a comprehensive approach.

Assisting Homeless Individuals: Addressing homelessness requires a multifaceted approach. Collaborating with local businesses to create job opportunities for the unsheltered population is essential. Seeking federal block grants and working together as a community can fund programs like hiring mental health professionals to combat homelessness.

Enhancing Our Community: Let's focus on further improving our already great community. This includes advocating for new parks and exploring beautification projects in partnership with you and our state leaders.
